Patrick Cerutti's woodworking draws inspiration from his respect and care for the natural world, love of art and music, and the wood itself. Reclaimed and recycled materials rescued from construction dumpsters, streets, and alleys, tree services, and municipal wood piles is used extensively in his pieces. When asked about his designs, Patrick will often reply, "The wood told me what it wanted." He began woodworking at the age of ten by building birdhouses and has progressed to artisan furniture with reflects his love of nature, trees and fine craftsmanship. When not in his studio or gathering wood, Patrick can be found riding his bicycle, volunteering at Forest Releaf, or learning to play the Native American flute.
